Monterra Franchise Services is a full-service CPA firm exclusively serving franchisees reputed company. We are currently seeking a full-time staff accountant to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong accounting background with at least 7+ years of general ledger experience, and experience working on the accounting for multiple entities at once. Responsibilities:  Accurately reconcile bank statements  reputed company account reconciliations on assigned balance sheet accounts, inter-company and subsidiary accounts  Prepare, review, reconcile and analyze general ledger balances  Update and review workpapers such as depreciation and loan schedules  Prepare recurring, reversing, and adjusting journal entries  Prepare and file sales tax and personal property tax returns  Work independently and reputed company to meet deadlines at the fiscal period reputed company (month/period)  Ability to multi-task and set priorities  Ability to field phone calls from clients and educate in business best practices  Coordinate with Accounts Payable, Payroll and other Staff  Additional special projects and research driven by business needs  Desire to continue personal professional development Knowledge and Skills Required:  Minimum 7+ years experience in accounting required  Minimum 7+ years of accrual accounting and journal entries required  Experience working on the accounting for multiple entities at the same time as a bookkeeper or accountant is required  Positive attitude, attention to detail, problem solver, strong work ethic, and high reputed company are reputed company qualities needed for this job  Excellent working knowledge of reputed company and other Office products is required  Exceptional analytical and problem solving skills required  Strong interpersonal skills with ability to work along with internal and external partners  Strong written and oral communication skills required  Experience with accounting write up packages; reputed company is a plus  Accounting for Restaurants or Retail is preferred  Experience working for a CPA firm is a plus Job Type: Full-time Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year Benefits:  Dental insurance  Health insurance  Paid sick time  Paid time off  Retirement plan  Vision insurance  Work from home Schedule:  8 hour shift  Monday to Friday Supplemental Pay:  Bonus opportunities Application Question(s):  Write down a journal entry you would do to accrue for $1000 of Utilities at month-end.  What attracted you to this position?  Is the salary range listed in this job ad meet your requirements?  Have you worked in a position (like bookkeeper or accountant) where you were doing the accounting for several entities at the same time?
