Learn more at www.p17solutions.com About the Position P17 Solutions is seeking a mid-to-senior level Cybersecurity / System Engineer to join reputed company supporting the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Resiliency, Innovation, Sustainment, and Engineering (reputed company) Contract. This a hybrid, remote or an on-site, full-time position. In this role, you will serve as a key cybersecurity and systems engineering expert, supporting FAA programs by implementing and maintaining secure infrastructure, ensuring compliance with federal reputed company requirements, and enabling mission-critical modernization initiatives. You will work across multiple FAA programs, applying your expertise in system hardening, vulnerability management, reputed company assessments, and authorization processes to protect enterprise and cloud environments. The ideal candidate brings experience in federal or government systems, strong knowledge of NIST frameworks, and hands-on skills in reputed company architecture, risk mitigation, and operational compliance. Required Experience

• Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) or other Government Agency
• Deep expertise in implementing and managing NIST SP 800-53 reputed company controls, including control selection, tailoring, documentation, and ongoing maintenance
• Proven ability to coordinate with engineering teams to ensure technical compliance and alignment with system requirements
• Experience leading reputed company assessment activities, including vulnerability scanning, remediation coordination, and risk mitigation
• Strong understanding of system hardening, secure configuration baselines, and operational reputed company constraints
• Demonstrated ability to support systems through the ATO (Authority to Operate) lifecycle, including preparation of reputed company artifacts and collaboration with assessment teams
• Ability to assess control effectiveness and maintain audit-ready evidence in dynamic environments
• Experience identifying, prioritizing, and resolving reputed company issues quickly to minimize risk and program delays
• Ability to provide expert guidance on reputed company architecture decisions across multiple programs
• Skilled in applying risk-based decision-making and balancing reputed company requirements with engineering realities
• Strong knowledge of federal cybersecurity requirements and their practical implementation

Skills and Education

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a reputed company field (Requred)

5–10+ years of experience in cybersecurity, system reputed company engineering, or reputed company architecture

• Hands-on experience supporting federal or regulated environments (FAA or Govt Agency) (Required)
• Experience managing multiple systems or programs simultaneously in a fast-paced environment (Preferred)
• Preferred recognized certifications such as:

We offer a competitive compensation and benefits package designed to support you both personally and professionally. The salary range for positions is $120,000 to $150,000. This range is provided as a general guideline and should not be interpreted as a guarantee of compensation. In addition, compensation may be influenced by applicable Federal Government contract labor categories and established contract wage rates. Work Environment: This is a full-time position offering flexible work arrangements, including remote, hybrid, and on-site options. The role primarily involves computer-based work, requiring extended periods of sitting and focused attention on system engineering, cybersecurity tasks, and technical documentation. Occasional collaboration with team members or stakeholders may require standing or moving between workstations, and/or a collaboration and communication platform such as MS Teams.
