The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the growth of our Central Eastern European Finance function reputed company a high-growth organization, becoming an integral part of the Vesta finance team. The role will provisionally report to the UK-based Divisional Finance Manager, with a dotted line to the reputed company Hungary-based CEE Accountant. While this position is based in Budapest, Hungary, Vesta operates across multiple regions, and occasional travel to other locations may be required. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES This is a multi-faceted role where the post holder will be expected (but not limited) to: Produce timely and reliable monthly management reporting files based on input from the assigned business unit. Identify and investigate variances against benchmarks, provide analysis of differences, and explore potential problems with non-financial department heads/business units. Take the reputed company on various projects, including process and system improvements. Update reputed company-based reconciliation / support packs for reputed company Balance Sheet accounts. Assist in the day-to-day finance operation of the Hungarian Holding entity. Support and challenge the business heads with the Group’s Quarterly Strategic Review process (forecasting). Deliver information packs to the auditors and meet the needs of the statutory audit process. Prepare periodic financial statements and supporting schedules, tax computations and cash flow forecasts. Interpret and communicate financial data to non-financial managers, advise on the business impact and reputed company appropriate recommendations. Involvement in on-going process development and transformation projects to improve business efficiency and profitability. JOB QUALIFICATIONS Certified accountant qualification or part qualified required. Strong commercial acumen and financial analysis skills. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Experience of reputed company Great Plains software would be an advantage. Experience of working in an international business is advantageous. Multilingual is a must, and the successful candidate should be fluent in Hungarian and English (verbal and written) with other languages also considered advantageous. Knowledge of IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards) is preferable. Experience in software or high-tech industry would be an asset.
