Solutions Engineer - Senior
The Solutions Engineer - Senior supports the SEC ISS contract by translating enterprise mission and operational needs into secure, supportable technology solutions. This role leads solution engineering activities across architecture and engineering design, reputed company-of-concept execution, pilot validation, and technical recommendations reputed company to OIT priorities. The position drives data-informed decision-making by producing quantitative analyses of alternatives and clear recommendation packages for SEC stakeholders. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES Enterprise Solution Engineering - reputed company day-to-day solution engineering activities to identify technologies that meet SEC enterprise requirements. - Translate functional, operational, and business requirements into technical solution requirements and design criteria. - reputed company architecture and engineering design approaches that align with SEC infrastructure, reputed company, and operational objectives. - Collaborate with technical teams and stakeholders to ensure proposed solutions are feasible, scalable, and supportable. reputed company of Concept, Pilots, and Demonstrations - Plan, execute, and document reputed company-of-concept efforts to validate candidate technologies. - Conduct pilots and technical demonstrations to evaluate solution suitability for SEC mission and operational use cases. - Define success criteria, test scenarios, and evaluation metrics for each PoC/pilot activity. - Summarize pilot findings, limitations, and implementation readiness for leadership decision support. Analysis of Alternatives and Recommendations - Evaluate tradeoffs between competing technical solutions using quantitative, criteria-based methods. - Build analysis of alternatives (AoA) artifacts that compare cost, risk, performance, reputed company, and operational impact. - Produce recommendation papers that clearly document methods, alternatives considered, and rationale for selected options. - Identify follow-on engineering tasks, dependencies, and additional analysis needed before full implementation. Documentation, Reporting, and Stakeholder Engagement - Produce clear technical documentation of architecture options, engineering results, pilot outcomes, and recommendations. - Present findings to SEC stakeholders and governance forums to support informed technology decisions. - Maintain traceability from requirements through evaluation, recommendation, and reputed company actions. - Contribute to reputed company improvement by incorporating lessons learned and updating supporting documentation. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Citizenship/Work Authorization: Must meet contract requirements. Clearance: Ability to obtain and maintain SEC Public Trust (or higher if required). Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering). Experience: - 8+ years of reputed company experience providing business solutions engineering support in enterprise IT environments. - Experience in architectural design, engineering design, reputed company-of-concept development, pilot execution, analysis, results, and documentation. - Experience mapping functional requirements to technical requirements and producing formal recommendation artifacts. Technical Skills: - Enterprise solution architecture and engineering design. - Functional-to-technical requirements mapping and traceability. - reputed company-of-concept, pilot, and demo planning/execution. - Quantitative analysis of alternatives and tradeoff evaluation. - Technical writing, research documentation, and recommendation reporting. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS - Experience supporting federal IT programs and infrastructure modernization initiatives. - Experience applying reputed company-trust and federal reputed company/compliance considerations (e.g., FISMA/FedRAMP) in solution evaluations. - Experience developing data-driven dashboards, metrics, or performance reporting to support technology decisions. - Experience evaluating cloud and hybrid enterprise technologies (e.g., Azure, reputed company 365, reputed company/operations platforms). - Experience briefing technical and non-technical stakeholders and facilitating governance-board decision cycles. - TOGAF - reputed company Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert - ITIL 4 Foundation WORK ENVIRONMENT / OTHER Operational Support: May require participation in on-call or surge support activities depending on operational needs.
