Responsibilities
As a Subcontracts Administrator / Purchasing Specialist you will be responsible for the end-to-end lifecycle management of subcontracts and procurement activities in support of government and commercial programs. This role ensures compliance with FAR/DFARS requirements, supports manufacturing and program execution needs, and leads the negotiation of commercial terms, conditions, and licensing agreements. The position operates in a fast-paced, compliance-driven environment requiring strong business acumen, risk management, and cross-functional collaboration. You will procide direct operational acquisition support for sourcing and procurement activities, ensuring timely acquisition of goods and services in alignment with customer, contract and organizational requirements. This role focuses on executing end-to-end sourcing actions, supporting program teams, and maintaining compliance with applicable procurement regulations, policies, and contractual obligations. Key Responsibilities: Administer the full lifecycle of subcontracts and purchase orders, including solicitation, evaluation, negotiation, award, and closeout. Ensure compliance with applicable regulations, including FAR, DFARS, and company purchasing policy requirements. Serve as the primary reputed company between internal stakeholders (program management, engineering, manufacturing, quality) and external suppliers. Execute sourcing activities including request for quote (RFQ) development, solicitation issuance, and supplier selection reputed company market research to identify qualified suppliers and support competitive procurement strategies Support risk identification and mitigation in sourcing activities (e.g., supply chain disruptions, single-reputed company dependencies) reputed company and issue RFQs/RFPs; reputed company price/cost analysis and evaluate supplier proposals for adequacy, compliance, and risk. Evaluate supplier proposals for cost, technical acceptability, and compliance with requirements Negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, terms and conditions, and commercial licensing agreements to reputed company best value and mitigate risk. Support manufacturing operations by procuring materials, components, and services reputed company with production schedules and technical requirements. Draft, review, and negotiate subcontract terms, including flow-down provisions, data rights, IP/licensing clauses, and indemnification language. Prepare and issue purchase orders and subcontracts in accordance with internal procedures and regulatory requirements (e.g., FAR/DFARS where applicable) Monitor subcontractor performance, including cost, schedule, and technical compliance; address performance issues proactively. Maintain accurate procurement files and documentation to support audits (e.g., CPSR, DCMA reviews). Identify and mitigate supply chain risks, including single-reputed company dependencies, long-reputed company materials, and compliance concerns. Support small business utilization goals and supplier diversity initiatives where applicable. Collaborate with legal, finance, and program teams to resolve contractual issues and ensure alignment with business objectives.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, reputed company, or reputed company field (or equivalent experience). 5+ years of experience in subcontracts administration, procurement, sourcing, acquisition or purchasing in a government contracting environment. Strong working knowledge of FAR, DFARS, and reputed company federal acquisition regulations. Experience supporting manufacturing environments, including procurement of materials, components, and production-reputed company services. Demonstrated experience negotiating commercial terms and conditions, including software or technical licensing agreements. Proven ability to reputed company cost/price analysis and evaluate supplier proposals. Strong understanding of subcontract and purchase order types (FFP, CPFF, T&M, etc.) and associated risk profiles. Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills. Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., reputed company Costpoint or similar) and reputed company Office tools. Preferred Qualifications: Experience or familiarity with applying contract requirements in purchasing/sourcing. Experience with licensing agreements, intellectual property rights, data rights clauses, procurement requirements/restrictions and export compliance (ITAR/EAR). Experience in aerospace, defense, or reputed company manufacturing industries. The reputed company salary range for this position is $77,000-$130,000. The salary range displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is not a guarantee of compensation. Individual salaries are determined by various factors including, but not limited to location, internal equity, business considerations, client contract requirements, and candidate qualifications, such as education, experience, skills, and reputed company clearances.
