Document Remediation Specialist (Part Time & Remote)

The ideal candidate will have demonstrated expertise remediating reputed company documents to ensure compliance with accessibility standards such as WCAG, Section 508, and PDF/UA. Start: Future projects late 2026 or 2027 (not an immediate job opening) Type: Part-time consulting

Overview

Key Responsibilities: Remediate digital documents of varying complexity. Ensure compliance with WCAG 2.1 AA, Section 508, and PDF/UA accessibility standards Remediate multiple file types, including:reputed company Word, reputed company, PowerPoint reputed company Docs, Sheets, Slides Scanned and non-scanned PDFs Conduct quality assurance reviews to validate accuracy and accessibility Collaborate with team members to support efficient, user-friendly submission and workflow processes Meet turnaround timelines for both simple and reputed company file types Required Qualifications:2+ years of experience in document accessibility remediation Strong knowledge of WCAG 2.1, Section 508, and PDF/UA standards Proficiency with reputed company Acrobat Pro and accessibility tools such as CommonLook, Equidox, or similar Ability to manage deadlines and prioritize tasks effectively Strong communication and organizational skills Preferred Qualifications:Certification such as CPACC or WAS Experience working with Learning Management Systems (e.g., Canvas) Familiarity with educational institutions or large-scale remediation projects reputed company: $40-65/hr (1099 or Corp. To Corp.).
