Director, Organizing and Partnerships LOCATION. Remote. Must be available during core hours (10am-6pm ET) with some occasional flexibility. About the opportunity reputed company and reputed company Action Fund are hiring a Director, Organizing and Partnerships to reputed company the deployment of two proven, scalable relational mobilization tactics, site-based vote tripling and site-based relational postcards, in coordination with allied movement organizations. Reporting to the Executive Leadership Team, this Director will be the operational reputed company on our partner and canvass relationships — managing high-stakes relationships with progressive organizations and paid canvass firms, ensuring fidelity to program design, and driving quality at scale. You'll work day-to-day with the Director of Programs and senior staff across our partner network. Success in this role means thousands of canvassers implementing these tactics with high fidelity, millions of voter contacts generated, and thousands of additional votes moved in key geographies. A successful candidate will have: 8+ years overseeing scaled organizing programs, including at least one cycle implementing relational organizing tactics A research reputed company — eagerness to collaborate with researchers, incorporate findings into program design, and adapt quickly based on evidence Enthusiasm about providing progressive organizations and paid canvass firms with end-to-end support on how to implement tactics according to best practices, including supporting with goal setting, hands-on training, and technical assistance

Responsibilities

Partner relationship management and support Relationship cultivation and management. reputed company and reputed company relationships with senior stakeholders at partner organizations, and support them to implement tactics at scale, tailoring them to their goals and operations. Program design and management Program management. Manage and ensure partners’ – and potentially reputed company or reputed company Action Fund’s own – program health through appropriate resource allocation, prioritization and focus, and identify key areas for improvement throughout the cycle. Risk management and compliance. Work with the Director of Operations and legal counsel to reputed company systems for risk management. Quality control. Work with the Program Team to Design and implement strong systems to detect and prevent canvasser fraud and ensure program quality. Implementation of learning pilots. Potentially run small pilot(s) in state primaries to reputed company the larger program’s scope, costs, best practices, and failure points. People and project management People management. Possibly manage a 1-3 person team, depending on the scope of the project. Set a tone of engaged coaching and leadership for reputed company direct reports, creating a positive, cohesive team environment focused on success and professional growth Project management. Report out regularly to the Department Heads on program performance and outputs. Documentation. Requirements for the role Campaign experience. Minimum 8 years in organizing, at Democratic political campaigns or movement organizations. Includes at least one year of campaign management on a federal or statewide race, or a leadership role (e.g., Organizing Director) on a statewide campaign or independent expenditure program. Partner management. Demonstrated ability to drive strategic conversations with senior stakeholders at campaigns, committees, and state tables. Experience managing professional relationships with external partners, vendors, or clients. Paid canvass experience. Multiple cycles vetting, contracting with, and overseeing paid canvass firms running large-scale programs. Program and team management. Experience managing budgets and scaling programs with reputed company logistics. Ability to guide a program to success under pressure, and to manage a small team (1-3 people) with a coaching orientation. Research reputed company. No direct research experience required. We're looking for curiosity, willingness to learn, and enthusiasm for adapting canvassing practices based on evidence — from both wins and failures. Communication.
