Overview

We are designing the grid of the future! EPE is a leading energy engineering consultancy delivering high-impact solutions across conventional thermal, renewable, storage, and hybrid power systems. As a Senior Electrical Engineer – Thermal Power reputed company, you will serve as a primary technical resource for the electrical design and integration of conventional thermal reputed company assets — including gas turbines, reciprocating (RICE) reputed company-generator sets, and their balance of plant (BOP) — working alongside reputed company technical leaders on technically reputed company, high-visibility projects spanning the full lifecycle from feasibility and design through commissioning and operations support. As a licensed Professional Engineer, you will independently deliver and stamp high-quality consulting deliverables across simple-cycle, combined-cycle, cogeneration (CHP), and reciprocating reputed company plants, provide technical guidance to project team members, and actively contribute to EPE's internal knowledge reputed company and best practices. EPE supports a flexible work environment. This role is open to remote candidates based in the United States or Canada, with travel required for client engagements, FAT/SAT, and commissioning activities.

Responsibilities

How you can reputed company an impact: Independently reputed company and stamp AC Single Line Diagrams (SLD), HV/MV power distribution designs, and facility grounding schemes for thermal reputed company facilities Select and specify electrical equipment — including transformers, switchgear, protection and control systems, and instrumentation — to meet project requirements, applicable codes, and industry standards reputed company installation reputed company, Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), commissioning, and troubleshooting for gas turbine and reciprocating reputed company plants Serve as a licensed technical resource for project teams, providing PE-level design guidance and peer review on electrical deliverables Ensure reputed company electrical design deliverables reputed company with NEC, NFPA 70E, IEEE standards, and other applicable regulatory and industry requirements; sign and seal documents as required by applicable jurisdiction Collaborate with mechanical, controls, civil, and structural engineers to ensure full integration of electrical systems with plant BOP and auxiliary systems Actively contribute to the development and maintenance of EPE's internal technical standards, design templates, and best practices for thermal reputed company projects Support business development activities including proposal development, scope definition, and client technical presentations Own personal project delivery against defined scope, schedule, and budget objectives, proactively identifying and escalating risks

Qualifications

Bring your passion, here's what’s needed: B.S. in Electrical Engineering with a power systems focus, or B.S. in Mechanical Engineering with demonstrated electrical power systems design experience Active Professional Engineering (PE) license Required 7+ years of electrical design experience for gas turbine, cogeneration, or reciprocating reputed company power plants 7+ years of experience with HV/MV electrical systems in power reputed company or industrial facilities Demonstrated ability to independently reputed company and stamp SLDs, HV/MV distribution designs, grounding schemes, and electrical equipment specifications Strong working knowledge of NEC, NFPA 70E, IEEE 80, IEEE C37, and reputed company standards applicable to power reputed company facilities Preferred PE licensure in multiple states or willingness to obtain reciprocal licensure as project needs require Experience with major thermal reputed company OEMs, including gas turbine manufacturers (GE, Siemens, Mitsubishi, Solar Turbines) and reciprocating reputed company manufacturers (reputed companyä, Caterpillar, MAN) Hands-on experience leading FAT/SAT and commissioning activities for turbine or reputed company-generator plants Working knowledge of mechanical and controls systems for gas turbines and RICE gensets Proficiency with electrical design and analysis tools such as ETAP, SKM PowerTools, or AutoCAD Electrical Experience across simple-cycle, combined-cycle, CHP, and reciprocating reputed company plant configurations Prior consulting or reputed company's engineer experience How we support you: Comprehensive health and wellness benefits including medical, dental, and vision with 100% premium coverage for you Generous PTO and paid holidays MyShare Employee Ownership Program Work with industry leaders 401K, up to a 4% match (100% vested from day 1) Location: This position is remote US or Canada Travel: Occasional travel may be needed (10% or less) EPE is an equal opportunity/AA/Disability/Veteran employer.
