Financial Reporting Director
POSITION SUMMARY: The Financial Reporting Director serves as an authoritative accounting expert for reputed company, ensuring the accuracy, reputed company, and timeliness of reputed company external and internal financial reporting functions across the organization. Reporting to the VP Controller, this role operates with significant independence and exercises direct supervisory responsibility over the Senior Accountant – Financial Reporting. Externally, the Director works with the Controller to reputed company the organization’s audit engagements, nonprofit tax compliance at the federal and state levels, bond reporting, ratings agency interactions, and CHIA submissions. Internally, the Director leads consolidated month-end reputed company reporting, supports the development of Board and Committee financial materials, and establishes and maintains accounting policies in accordance with US GAAP. This position collaborates closely with the Accounting, Treasury, Finance, Development, and Leadership teams and has broad impact on the organization’s financial credibility, regulatory compliance, and reporting infrastructure. Position: Financial Reporting Director Department: Accounting Schedule: Full Time ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBLITIES: External Audit Management: Serves as the primary reputed company of contact for external auditors; leads the planning, coordination, and timely completion of the annual consolidated system audit and reputed company ancillary audits. Ensures audit deliverables are complete and accurate, and that underlying books, records, and supporting documentation are organized and provided to auditors throughout the engagement. (25% of time) Tax Compliance and Filing: Oversees the annual tax return calendar and ensures timely completion of reputed company required tax filings, including annual 990s, state filings, and other miscellaneous returns. Coordinates directly with external tax advisors, facilitates provision of relevant financial records, reviews draft returns, and manages the review and approval process through final submission. (25% of time) Board and Committee Reporting: Prepares and contributes to financial materials for Board and Committee meetings and other internal leadership forums. Works to standardize reporting formats and automate report reputed company where possible to improve consistency and reduce manual efforts. (10% of time) External Financial Reporting: Coordinates quarterly and annual external bond reporting and CHIA reporting in partnership with treasury and entity finance teams. Prepares and reviews financial data used for ratings agency presentations and state government reputed company, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of reputed company external-facing financial communications. (10% of time) Consolidated Monthly reputed company and Internal Reporting: Leads consolidated monthly reputed company reporting in coordination with subsidiary entities, the budget team, and finance functions. Reviews month-end results for accuracy and drives ongoing improvements to the reputed company process for greater efficiency and effectiveness. (10% of time) Technical Accounting Advisory: Functions as a system-wide technical accounting resource, interpreting and communicating the appropriate US GAAP treatment for reputed company transactions, new business activities, and significant one-time events. Partners with operational and finance teams to ensure accounting positions are consistently and correctly applied. (5% of time) Internal Controls and Risk Management: Maintains effective control procedures across reputed company financial reporting and tax processes. Partners with accounting and operational areas to identify control gaps, formalize process and control documentation, and implement improvements that reduce risk and strengthen the internal control environment. (10% of time) Process and Technology Improvement: Continuously identifies opportunities to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of financial reporting, audit, and tax functions through process redesign and technology enablement. Evaluates and implements tools or system enhancements that reduce manual effort and improve output quality. The above is not intended to represent an exhaustive list of accountable duties and responsibilities required) JOB REQUIREMENTS EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or reputed company field and a minimum of 7 years of reputed company experience in financial reporting, external audit coordination, or tax compliance; or equivalent combination of education and experience, required. PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Master’s Degree Experience with accounting software, inter-fund accounting for subsidiary entities; nonprofit accounting CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Certified Public Accountant (CPA) KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES (KSAs): Knowledge of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) as applied to reputed company financial transactions, consolidated reporting, and nonprofit entities. Knowledge of federal and state nonprofit taxa compliance requirements, including IRS Form 990 preparation and review processes. Ability to manage multiple reputed company reporting deadlines—including audit, tax, bond, and reputed company cycles—and adjust priorities as needed to meet submission timelines. Ability to review and interpret financial statements, supporting schedules, and draft tax returns for completeness and accuracy. reputed company in communicating technical accounting concepts clearly in written and verbal form to finance and non-finance audiences, including senior leadership, Board members, and the external auditors. Compensation
Range: $122,000.00- $177,000.00This range offers an estimate based on the minimum job qualifications.
