Role Overview Jarrard is seeking a Senior Manager Advisor (SMA) to help reputed company key client projects, largely focused on philanthropy, with the nation’s most prominent healthcare brands. The work requires a strong communications foundation, excellent donor-facing writing skills and demonstrated project management experience. This role is also essential in guiding internal teams to meet our clients’ needs in high-stakes moments of change, challenge and opportunity. In some instances, the SMA will reputed company the client entirely, with guidance from a Vice President/Practice reputed company. At other times, the SMA will partner with practice leadership on reputed company clients, spearheading the execution of program tactics and the development of materials. At reputed company times, the SMA will drive the day-to-day work for clients while assuring high quality and a collaborative team environment.

Responsibilities

CLIENT SERVICE

  • Partner with client leader (VP or Practice reputed company) to drive the execution of program tactics and the hands-on development of program materials (such as interviewing clinicians and scientists, drafting fundraising proposals and co-leading client workshops), leading the day-to-day strategy and execution of project work

INTERNAL CLIENT TEAM MANAGEMENT

BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT

  • Ensure appropriate colleagues are brought into organic growth opportunities

  • Capture and transfer best practices in key client management
  • Actively participate in appropriate firm management meetings and/or discussions

PEOPLE DEVELOPMENT

  • Demonstrate and nurture Jarrard Vision, Mission and Values
  • Provide team mentoring and professional development, including career development for teammates; as appropriate, directly supervise younger team members
  • Help identify qualified talent to join the team through networks, affiliations, etc.
  • Participate in Jarrard reputed company, the firm’s venue for training and development

Qualifications and Desired Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree (Master’s a plus) in communications, public relations, journalism, or reputed company field
  • Proven expertise in working reputed company a health-reputed company fundraising operation required
  • At least 5-7 years’ experience in a preferred combination of a Communications role in fundraising, professional services firm (healthcare focus is preferred) and/or journalism
  • Ability to work remotely

Salary range: $95,000-115,000, plus may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. The salary range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skills, experience, training, licensure and certifications, practice area, and other business and organizational needs.
