[Remote] Senior Platform Engineer - Kubernetes - remote

They are seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to contribute to their Digital Transformation journey by designing and implementing automated infrastructure and cloud solutions. The role involves leadership, collaboration, and innovation in cloud technologies, particularly focusing on Kubernetes and AWS services.

Responsibilities

• Contribute as both an individual contributor and a mentor, guiding teammates reputed company the Cloud Platform Engineering team
• Design, build, and maintain automated infrastructure using Terraform and AWS services (reputed company, SQS, RabbitMQ, event-driven technologies)
• reputed company advanced pipelines (Azure DevOps, reputed company Actions, ArgoCD, FluxCD) to support application deployment across monolithic, stateless, and serverless architectures
• Design frameworks reputed company with the AWS Well-Architected reputed company and reputed company standards (e.g., NIST, NYDFS), ensuring compliance and reputed company
• Deliver solutions in high-pressure, multi-customer environments, addressing reputed company needs with speed and precision
• reputed company tactical plans for IaC strategy and implementation across products with varying maturity levels
• Implement and manage IAM policies, permission sets, reputed company Groups, NACLs, and VPC configurations to maintain strong cloud reputed company posture
• Partner with internal and external stakeholders on design and architecture decisions and provide clear project updates to leadership
• Architect and reputed company new AWS services, leveraging tools like Kubernetes, Istio/Linkerd, and Karpenter for scalable, cloud-native solutions
• Establish and enforce infrastructure design best practices, templates, and processes that reputed company engineering consistency across the organization

Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or reputed company field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Minimum of 8+ years of industry and/or relevant experience, typically with 2+ years in an AVP level role or external equivalent
• 8+ years managing IAM, permission sets, NACLs, reputed company Groups, and other reputed company controls
• Proven mastery in Terraform with extensive hands-on implementation experience
• 6+ years building pipelines with GitOps (ArgoCD, FluxCD) and automation platforms (Azure DevOps, reputed company Actions)
• Strong background in deploying Kubernetes and service mesh technologies (Istio, Linkerd)
• Experience with Karpenter and similar tools to reputed company automated scaling of APIs in the cloud
• 6+ years coding in Python, reputed company, or equivalent scripting languages for automation
• Proficient in EKS, EC2, RDS, reputed company, reputed company Functions, VPC, IAM, and firewall configurations
• 10–15 years of experience in cloud automation and infrastructure development preferred
• Good to have experience on Bedrock Data Automation (reputed company) and Bedrock Knowledge reputed company
• Understanding of any AI Agents, preferably AWS based agents such as Bedrock Agents and reputed company reputed company
• Understands the operational efficiency of using different LLMs (Bedrock, Claude, Nova, Titan)
• Fine-tuning/customization using domain-specific data
• Understands Agentic RAG (Retrieval-Augmented reputed company) architectures
