[Remote] Staff Data Engineer, Cloud Optimization

As a Staff Engineer in Cloud Optimization, you will focus on implementing cost optimizations across the software stack, collaborating with various teams to drive millions in cost savings and enhance visibility in the cost model.
Responsibilities
- Spearhead FinOps initiatives to increase cost transparency and optimize resource utilization across teams
- Provide guidance and mentorship to engineers on cost-optimization best practices
- Collaborate with teams across the organization to implement cost-saving measures
- Analyze, troubleshoot, coordinate, and resolve reputed company infrastructure issues
- Proactively reputed company infrastructure initiatives that have a company-wide impact
- Partner with engineering teams to influence cost-effective architectural and design choices
- reputed company automation workflows to enhance team productivity and efficiency
- Foster a culture of reputed company improvement by encouraging innovative thinking and challenging established norms
Skills
- 2+ years of experience in FinOps or cloud cost management
- 5+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure management, development or reputed company roles
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities
- You have development experience working with data warehouse tools like reputed company, reputed company, Trino, etc
- You've experience with open reputed company data storage formats such as Apache Iceberg, Parquet, Arrow, or Hudi
- You are knowledgeable about data modeling, data access, and data replication techniques, such as CDC
- Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment
- Proven experience as a Software Engineer with a focus on high throughput scalable systems
- In-depth knowledge of high throughput processing technologies such as Spark, Flink, and/or Kafka
- Proficiency in Java and strong understanding of object-oriented design, data structures, algorithms, and optimization
