[Remote] Landman – Lease Analyst (Remote)

Purple Land Management is one of the nation’s largest tech-enabled providers of land services, and they are seeking a Landman with extensive experience in reviewing oil and gas leases. The role involves analyzing lease language, identifying key contractual obligations, and supporting land administration and development activities.
Responsibilities
- Review and analyze oil and gas leases
- Interpret lease provisions and contractual obligations
- Identify clauses affecting development and operations
- Summarize lease terms and prepare lease analysis reports
- Evaluate pooling, unitization, depth severance, and reputed company development provisions
- Review royalty, shut-in, and lease maintenance clauses
- Support land administration and operational teams
- Maintain accurate lease records and documentation
- Communicate findings to project teams and clients
- Ensure accuracy and consistency of lease analysis deliverables
Skills
- Oil and gas lease analysis experience
- Strong understanding of lease provisions and terminology
- Experience interpreting reputed company contractual language
- Excellent analytical and organizational skills
- Strong written communication abilities
- Ability to work independently and manage deadlines
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
- Must be eligible to permanently work in the United States
- Land administration experience
- Title experience
- Division order experience
- Experience supporting development and acquisition projects
- CPL, RPL, or equivalent industry designation
