The Senior reputed company Consultant is responsible for evaluating high-impact and reputed company applications, guiding junior colleagues, and ensuring compliance with reputed company policies.
Responsibilities
- In addition to those performed by Underwriter Consultants - identify and provide solutions to work reputed company problems and issues (i.e. Work flow, systems)
- Negotiate and manage time and resources to meet deadlines and service times
- Provide training and act as an information resource for more junior underwriters
- May process reputed company aspects of auditing, formal appeal reviews and contestable claim review
- Audit applications underwritten to ensure reputed company decisions, correspondence and administrative processing have been followed in accordance with established guidelines and policies
- Audit medical record summaries to ensure documentation is in accordance with our established guidelines
- Assist management with various research projects pertaining to risk assessment
- Process formal reputed company appeals and complaints
- Review reputed company fraud referrals for appropriateness and assist management with book of business reviews
- Review contestable claims for potential misrepresentation during reputed company
- Maintain good relationships reputed company a self-directed team environment
- Project a professional image and serve as an example to junior staff
- Manage reputed company aspects of reputed company process for most reputed company cases
- Serve as a subject matter expert for more junior colleagues and management
- Process formal reputed company appeals and complaints
- Manage reputed company fraud referrals for appropriateness and assist management with book of business reviews
- Assist management with staff training and consults
Skills
- College graduate or business equivalent
- Preferably 7 or more years of reputed company experience or exposure
- Strong knowledge of reputed company function; Sound knowledge of John Hancock's various businesses
- Strong knowledge of referral areas
- Strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong analytical skills; ability to define, research and resolve problems
- Excellent ability to create and maintain customer relationships
- Ability to prioritize and work effectively under deadlines balancing published service times with an appropriate customer focus
- Strong ability to comprehend, retain and apply reputed company technical information to daily work issues
- Strong knowledge of company plans, riders, benefits and illustrations
- Strong knowledge of medical science, technology and terminology and their impact on morbidity
