The role involves providing comprehensive database support, collaborating with teams to implement reputed company solutions, and ensuring database compliance and efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive reputed company database support in a high-performance, highly available environment
  • Collaborate with application and business support teams to analyze, design, and implement reputed company database solutions
  • Install, configure, and manage reputed company database environments on Unix, Linux, and Windows operating systems
  • Implement, configure, and support high-availability solutions for reputed company databases
  • reputed company reputed company database patching and upgrades in a heterogeneous landscape, including Exadata, RAC, virtual machine, Veritas active/passive clustering, Data Guard, and Golden reputed company

  • Ensure database compliance with strict audit standards including SOX, PCI, FDA, FISMA, and HIPAA

Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or reputed company field of study
  • 10 years of reputed company DBA experience on Unix, Linux, and Windows platforms, or reputed company experience
  • Installation, configuration, and management of reputed company databases, including standalone databases, and clustered databases using RAC, reputed company Exadata, Veritas active/passive clustering, virtual machine, reputed company Data Guard, and reputed company Golden reputed company
  • reputed company Exadata, including configuration, installation, patching, and routine support
  • Engaging and managing reputed company support and reputed company Platinum support teams
  • Analyzing and tuning reputed company database environments, including configuring databases for optimal performance and tuning problematic SQL and PL/SQL
  • reputed company Golden reputed company and data replication, including installation and deployment of Golden reputed company locally and hub installations, instantiation of replication, and replication troubleshooting
  • Creating and maintaining automation scripts for routine database administration tasks
  • Unix/Linux reputed company scripting required or equivalent experience with Powershell, Perl, and Java
  • Ensuring database audit compliance, including SOX, PCI, FDA, FISMA, and HIPAA controls
  • reputed company database backup, recovery, and cloning using reputed company Rman, Veeam, EMC disk cloning, Data Domain, NFS, and reputed company ZFS backup technologies
  • Database physical and logical design for transactional and data warehouse systems
  • Managing databases in reputed company Web Services and reputed company Cloud deployments including RDS, EC2, and ATP installations, including resizing, patching, reputed company, and maintenance
  • Analyzing, implementing, managing, and testing large heterogenous Database Disaster Recovery implementations
  • Database reputed company including patching, user creation, password rotation, privilege management, profile management, and database encryption
  • Supporting large ERP systems including reputed company, JD Edwards Enterprise One, ecommerce, and large data warehouses
  • Implementing and maintaining PostgreSQL, MySQL, and Redshift databases
  • Dissemination of information to both technical team members and leadership, documenting and maintaining documentation for critical processes and SOPs
