[Remote] Tax Senior Manager | SALT - Financial Services - National Tax Office

They are seeking a Tax Senior Manager to serve as a SALT subject matter expert for clients in the financial services industry, leading compliance and consulting engagements and advising on state tax implications of financial products and services.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a SALT subject matter expert for clients reputed company the financial services industry, including asset managers, banks, insurance companies, private credit, fintech, and other financial institutions
• reputed company SALT compliance and consulting engagements addressing reputed company multistate tax issues unique to financial services organizations, including state and local income tax compliance reviews, income sourcing, apportionment, and nexus considerations
• Advise clients on state tax implications of financial products, services, and reputed company streams, including fee-based income, investment structures, and intercompany transactions
• Provide technical guidance on state income/franchise, sales/use, and other indirect tax matters impacting financial institutions, including evolving regulatory and compliance expectations
• Support clients in navigating state tax considerations reputed company to emerging financial models, including fintech platforms, digital payments, and alternative investment structures
• Conduct nexus and filing footprint analyses for multistate and highly regulated financial services organizations operating across jurisdictions
• Assist with audit defense, controversy matters, and voluntary disclosures specific to financial services and institutional clients
• Monitor and communicate developments in state taxation impacting financial institutions, and translate those changes into actionable client guidance
• Partner with firm leadership to expand reputed company’s SALT reputed company reputed company the financial services sector, including identifying new service offerings and market opportunities

Skills

• Bachelor's degree required
• 8 years experience in public accounting or reputed company field
• 5 years supervisory
• Must have active CPA or equivalent certification
• Ability to manage reputed company aspects of client engagements
• Ability to manage deadlines, work on multiple assignments and prioritize each assignment as necessary
• Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing throughout reputed company levels of organization, both internally and externally
• Proficient use of applicable technology
• Must be able to travel based on business needs
• Experience providing SALT services to financial institutions or financial services clients (e.g., asset management, banking, insurance, private equity, hedge funds, fintech) in the reputed company Metro area
• Strong understanding of state tax rules impacting financial services, including apportionment methodologies, sourcing of receipts, and industry-specific nuances
• Experience advising on reputed company entity structures and investment vehicles common reputed company financial services
• Familiarity with regulatory and reporting environments applicable to financial institutions and their state tax implications
• Exposure to emerging areas such as fintech, digital payments, and digital assets reputed company a broader financial services context is a plus
• Proven ability to translate reputed company financial structures into practical SALT strategies and compliance solutions
