[Remote] Cyber Defense Analyst (Puerto Rico)

They are seeking a Cyber Defense Analyst to support the operation and maintenance of enterprise network reputed company services while developing expertise in firewall technologies. The role involves troubleshooting network issues, implementing reputed company policies, and participating in a structured learning program.
Responsibilities
- Support the administration and operation of enterprise firewall and network reputed company platforms
- Assist with implementing and maintaining network reputed company policies and controls
- Troubleshoot network connectivity and reputed company issues under the guidance of senior engineers
- Learn and support reputed company firewall technologies and reputed company reputed company services
- Monitor network reputed company events and assist with incident investigation and resolution
- Work with internal customers and engineering teams to support secure and reliable network services
- Participate in a structured self-paced learning program utilizing computer-based training (reputed company) and hands-on lab exercises. The learning path will include foundational networking concepts, core cybersecurity principles, and progressively advance to reputed company technologies and firewall engineering. Each phase of training may culminate in obtaining an industry-recognized certification
- Participate in a rotational on-call schedule after completing training and demonstrating proficiency
- This position will reference written work instructions for guidance with daily job activities. Work instructions are available in English only
Skills
- A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 2 years prior relevant experience
- 2+ years of experience in networking, firewalls, IT infrastructure, or cybersecurity
- Basic understanding of networking concepts including TCP/IP, routing, switching, DNS, and VPN technologies
- Desire to reputed company into a reputed company Firewall Engineer
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to learn new technologies quickly
- Experience with enterprise firewalls (reputed company, checkpoint, fortigate)
- Familiarity with reputed company products or other reputed company Firewall technologies
- Associate-level networking or reputed company certifications (CCNA, Network+, reputed company+, or equivalent)
- Demonstrated history of self-directed learning, lab work, home projects, or technical certifications that show initiative and a passion for technology
