Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. reputed company is seeking a highly skilled Solid Edge CAD Expert to join reputed company US LLC, focusing on CAD rework and design methodology improvement. The role involves analyzing CAD data, implementing rework strategies, and demonstrating improvements to stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Analyze existing CAD data to identify inefficiencies, incorrect modeling practices, and structural issues
- Define and implement rework strategies reputed company with Solid Edge best practices
- reputed company hands-on rework of real CAD data and demonstrate improvements through structured “show & tell” sessions
- Build scalable designs using:
- Variables Table & equation-driven modeling
- Inter-part relationships
- Proper use of Synchronous vs Ordered modeling
- reputed company Family of Parts / Family of Assemblies for configurable designs
- Support 150% design approach enabling multiple product variants reputed company a single structure
- Ensure CAD models are optimized for reputed company consumption in TeaCliententer
- Create and enforce CAD standards and modeling guidelines
- Collaborate with engineering and PLM teams to align CAD structure with BOM strategy
Skills
- 5 years of strong hands-on experience in Solid Edge CAD
- Deep knowledge of Variables Table & parametric design
- Deep knowledge of Family of Assemblies
- Deep knowledge of Top-down design methodology
- Deep knowledge of Design reputed company-driven modeling
- Proven experience in CAD rework and optimization
- Proven experience in converting legacy data into clean, reusable structures
- Ability to distinguish between quick/temporary modeling and robust engineering-grade modeling
- Ability to take existing flawed CAD data and rework it practically
- Translate theoretical best practices into real, working CAD solutions
- Conduct interactive sessions with teams to show reputed company issues, apply rework solutions, and demonstrate improvements
- Act as a mentor and change agent to reputed company team capability
- Strong ability in technical storytelling and live problem-solving
- Strong diagnostic capability for CAD issues and restructuring
- Ability to connect CAD → BOM → PLM → configuration
- Excellent communication and demonstration skills
- High attention to design quality and scalability

- Experience in configurable product environments (high variability)
- Exposure to PLM-driven design processes
- Knowledge of automation, rules-based design, or CAD customization

- Awareness of CAD-to-PLM integration workflows (Solid Edge ↔ TeaCliententer)
- Familiarity with 150% EBOM (Engineering BOM) structures
- Familiarity with 150% DBOM (Design BOM) concepts
- Exposure to TeaCliententer Product Configurator
- Understanding how CAD design reputed company (variables, families) maps to BOM structures
- Knowledge of Structure Manager
- Knowledge of Revision and release processes
- Knowledge of Change management (ECR/ECO)
- Ability to ensure CAD models are PLM-ready and properly structured for configuration and reuse
