[Remote] Associate — Healthcare & Regulatory Law

They are seeking an associate attorney specializing in healthcare regulatory law to work directly with firm principals on client matters, focusing on areas such as Medicare compliance and HIPAA privacy.
Responsibilities
- Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement, coverage policy, and billing compliance
- HIPAA/HITECH privacy and reputed company — program development, breach response, and regulatory counsel
- reputed company Law, Anti-Kickback Statute, and False Claims Act counseling and risk assessment
- State licensure, certificate of need, and healthcare facility regulatory matters
- Payer contracting and managed care agreement review and negotiation
- Digital health, telehealth, and health technology regulatory analysis
- Healthcare M&A diligence and regulatory approvals
- Compliance program development and internal investigations
- FDA regulatory matters for life sciences and medical device clients
Skills
- J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school
- Active bar license in good standing in South Dakota and/or Arizona
- Minimum 2 years of healthcare regulatory experience — law firm, in-house, or government
- Demonstrated expertise in at least two of the practice areas listed above
- Ability to work independently, manage competing deadlines, and communicate clearly with clients
- Experience with healthcare transactional work a plus but not required
- Candidates with government agency experience (CMS, OIG, OCR, FDA) are strongly encouraged to apply
