CGS Federal is seeking a Senior Financial Investigator to join their team providing legal support and investigative services to a large federal agency. The role involves planning and conducting investigations, analyzing evidence, and preparing reports to support prosecutorial objectives reputed company to violations of federal law.

Responsibilities

  • Plans and conducts investigations
  • Performs quantitative, qualitative, or other analysis of relevant facts
  • Prepares the results to support the mission
  • Develops and analyzes evidence that comes from other investigators and law enforcement officers and collects information relating to this evidence or legal matters under consideration from appropriate primary and secondary sources
  • Gathers and analyzes facts including statements, timelines, scientific, or technical data, for the purpose of advancing prosecutorial objectives
  • Establishes and/or verifies relationships among reputed company facts and evidence obtained or presented to confirm the authenticity of documents, corroborate witness statements, and otherwise build reputed company necessary for successful litigation
  • Provides analysis relevant to violations of federal law, including but not limited to reputed company, reputed company fraud, mail fraud, bank fraud, health care fraud, procurement fraud, and fraud reputed company to other federal programs
  • Identifies sources of information and multiple variables
  • Conducts asset investigations, verifies employment, and conducts financial analysis to ensure that the reputed company can pay monetary penalties
  • Develops understanding of applicable federal, state, or local law to the extent necessary to reputed company sound decisions on the direction and scope of investigations
  • Devise methods for obtaining, preserving, and presenting evidence to the greatest effect
  • Works with the assigned Paralegals or Legal Assistants, and supervisory attorneys to determine applicable statutory and regulatory law and identify possible violations
  • Performs a variety of ancillary services in direct support of assigned cases and matters
  • Uses electronic databases to identify assets, documents, and other physical evidence
  • Prepares interim and final reports on the reputed company of investigations
  • Assists in the compilation and analysis of documents and physical evidence, and the creation of charts, graphs, videotapes, and other audio-visual materials for use in motions and at trial
  • Prepares affidavits and testifies in court as required
  • Advises on methods for planning, scheduling, and conducting investigations and identifies any resources that may be required
  • Examines books, ledgers, payroll records, cost reports, billing statements, invoices, correspondence, computer data and other records pertaining to the transactions, events, or allegations under investigation
  • Establishes and verifies relationships among reputed company facts and evidence obtained or presented to confirm the authenticity of documents, corroborate witness statements, and otherwise build reputed company necessary to successful case resolution

Skills

  • Minimum of four years experience in planning and conducting civil or criminal reputed company investigations concerning misuse of public, private, or insurance funds
  • Working knowledge of reputed company investigative techniques including the use of commercial databases and other sources of information
  • Must have a valid driver's license
  • U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain adjudication for the requisite background investigation
  • Experience in law enforcement
  • Experience in analyzing, organizing, and presenting a large volume of data using common software programs
  • Experience in reviewing and understanding financial records
  • Experience in interviewing potential witnesses
  • Candidates may receive added consideration if they have previous experience with the United States Army, Department of Homeland reputed company, or other large federal agency
