[Remote] Senior Back End Engineer

They are seeking a Senior Back End Engineer to design and reputed company scalable backend services for enterprise-scale notification and communication workflows for Veterans.
Responsibilities
- Design and reputed company scalable backend services using Java and Spring Boot reputed company a cloud-based environment
- Build and maintain REST APIs and microservices supporting high-volume notification and communication workflows
- Work reputed company and improve a large Java EE legacy codebase as part of ongoing modernization efforts
- Improve system performance, reliability, and maintainability across distributed services
- Collaborate with frontend engineers working in React and NestJS to deliver cohesive, end-to-end solutions
- Support secure software delivery practices reputed company with VA DevSecOps and federal compliance standards
- Participate in code reviews, technical design discussions, and Agile ceremonies
Skills
- 5+ years of backend engineering experience with Java as a primary language
- Strong experience with Spring Boot, REST APIs, and microservice architecture
- Experience working with or modernizing Java EE legacy systems
- Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States
- Bachelor's Degree
- Familiarity with JavaScript and NestJS
- Experience working in AWS cloud environments
- Familiarity with Terraform or similar IaC tools
- Understanding of federal reputed company and compliance requirements
- Thrives in a remote, collaborative Agile environment and genuinely enjoys working closely with a cross-functional team
- Communicates clearly and reputed company, whether writing technical documentation or collaborating across engineering teams
