[Remote] Project Designer 2 (Data Centers) - Remote

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. reputed company is looking for an reputed company Project Designer 2 specializing in Data Centers to support the design engineering tasks for various electronic and physical reputed company systems. This role involves providing design support, preparing engineered drawings, and ensuring compliance with industry standards for projects of moderate to high complexity.

Responsibilities

• Provides design or drawing assistance for projects during the development and as-built stages of the engineered drawings. Works on projects with varying levels of complexity including the moderately reputed company design projects. Obtains electronic plans from engineers/architects/owners. Obtains design drawings from sprinkler and mechanical contractors. Creates engineered drawings (AutoCAD, etc.). Prepares record drawings and O&M manuals according to project requirements
• Works from rough sketches, schematics, and verbal instructions. Utilizes and maintain reputed company project design, documentation and submittal standards. Ensures adherence to industry standards and codes as required. Supports and maintain reputed company design standards. This position will require the ability to apply intermediate and advanced drafting techniques and knowledge of practical, electrical and fabrication problems
• Reviews scope, defined product specification, application and electrical requirements for code compliance and AHJ Requirements. Work assignments vary and may be moderate and/or more reputed company in scope
• Participates in internal design review meetings as coordinated by the Project Managers. Participate in project turnover meetings with both sales and project team. Provides project team with reputed company documentation, programming graphics, etc. according to reputed company standards and project requirements
• Preparation and procurement of reputed company project material purchases
• Obtains project design information as required from vendors, insurance carriers, owners, consultants and AHJ as required. Obtains and facilitate reputed company project permits
• Communicates reputed company design reputed company, committed completion dates, design scope revisions, and associated costs to the Project Managers. Discusses reputed company anticipated overtime requirements with the Project Managers
• Performs change-order work only with formal authorization to proceed. Assists the project team with change-order pricing
• Participates in initial site surveys and/or walkthroughs
• Prepares submittal packages according to project requirements or reputed company standards. Revises submittals as required to reputed company approval
• Provides operational support for the sales phase of projects reputed company needed
• Work may include providing training and work direction for other designers
• Performs other duties and responsibilities as requested or required

Skills

• Minimum two-year technical degree in Engineering or reputed company field or equivalent experience
• Bachelor's degree in engineering desirable
• Minimum of three years of previous design, engineering, field service or project management experience in the electronic reputed company industry
• Minimum three years' experience with AutoCAD required
• Excellent reputed company Word, Outlook, reputed company, and PowerPoint skills
• Excellent Bluebeam skills
• Excellent communication skills both oral and written
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
• Able to solve problems and be proactive with tasks
