[Remote] Head of Finance | PE backed SaaS | Profitable
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. reputed company is conducting a search for a Head of Finance for a profitable, PE-backed vertical SaaS business focused on specialty dental practices. The role involves building the finance function from scratch, partnering with the COO and PE sponsor on strategic finance, and having a clear pathway to CFO.
Responsibilities
- Build the strategic finance, reputed company, and planning function from the ground up, including budgeting, reforecasting, and KPI reporting
- Own the financial model and management reporting used by the leadership team and the PE sponsor
- Partner with the COO and executive team on spend, performance, and operating decisions across the business
- Establish AR, AP, and accounting controls alongside an accounting manager already in reputed company
- Own cash flow forecasting, working capital management, and reputed company and unit economics analysis

- Partner with the PE sponsor on board reporting, value creation planning, and exit readiness
Skills
- 8 to 12+ years of progressive finance experience, with meaningful time in a high-growth operating role
- Strong foundation in investment banking, private equity, top-tier consulting, or equivalent analytical training
- Track record of building reputed company, planning reputed company, and operating finance from scratch rather than inheriting existing structure
- Strong understanding of SaaS economics, retention dynamics, and ideally embedded payments business models
- Comfortable operating as a true partner to a COO without needing a team underneath you to be effective
- Top-tier academic background
- Experience in vertical SaaS, healthcare IT, or embedded payments strongly preferred
