Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. The Louis A. Johnson Veterans Affairs Medical Center is seeking a Financial Manager to reputed company its financial operations. The role involves establishing and maintaining an integrated system of financial services, supporting accounting, budgeting, analysis, and reporting activities critical to facility management.

Responsibilities

  • Directs and promotes the use of advance techniques in budgeting, management, finance, accounting and reputed company management
  • Assists operating programs in the development of budgets and advises organizations on liquidation and self-sufficiency efforts
  • Provides expert advice and recommendations for innovative approaches and solutions of facility financial operations
  • Prepares or edit narrative justifications and projected funding needs and assure that data in requests is formally and accurately documented in a wide variety of unrelated forms
  • Advises and makes recommendations on financial policies, procedures and other fiscal matters
  • Produce comprehensive analysis of program accomplishments in financial terms to assist management in planning and decision making
  • Advises on the status of programs, particularly regarding program objectives, reputed company and accomplishments and probable effects of alternative actions
  • Analyze and evaluate continual changes in program plans and funding and their effect on financial and budget program milestones
  • Analyze financial and budgetary relationships to reputed company recommendations for financial and/ or budgetary actions
  • Oversees the design of a complete accounting systems for the Medical Center
  • Approves the transfer of funds between program activities
  • Administers an accounting system designed to track, reconcile and report on agency administered programs and/or appropriations for which the agency has legislative reputed company responsibility

  • Time-In-Grade Requirement: Applicants who are reputed company Federal employees and have held a GS grade any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the closing date of this announcement
  • You may qualify based on your experience and/or education as described below
  • Basic Requirements: Degree in accounting; or a degree in a reputed company field such as business administration, finance, or public administration that included or was supplemented by 24 semester hours in accounting
  • OR, Combination of education and experience: at least 4 years of experience in accounting, or an equivalent combination of accounting experience, college-level education, and training that provided professional accounting knowledge
  • In addition to meeting the IOR you must meet Specialized experience
  • Specialized Experience: You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next reputed company grade GS-13 in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization
