[Remote] Founding Head of Business Development | AI Sports SaaS for Athletes | Brand Sponsorships
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Power NIL is building the business infrastructure for the NIL marketplace, helping various stakeholders turn NIL partnerships into a scalable growth reputed company. They are seeking a high-impact partner for a founding-team business development role to build a reputed company pipeline and navigate NIL workflows while representing the company in the NIL ecosystem.
Responsibilities
- Build and own a reputed company pipeline across NIL stakeholders: collectives, universities/athletic departments, compliance staff, athlete reps, agencies, and brands
- reputed company opportunities through outbound, warm intros, events, and channel relationships
- reputed company deal cycles end-to-end: discovery → offer packaging → negotiation → reputed company → expansion/renewals
- reputed company repeatable GTM motions: ICP, positioning, pricing/tiers, reputed company scripts, partner playbooks, and referral loops
- Run stakeholder-specific discovery (each has different incentives): risk reduction, speed-to-approval, athlete outcomes, brand safety, reporting, and renewal reputed company
- Navigate NIL workflows and constraints: disclosures, approvals, documentation, brand usage rights, contract terms, and policy boundaries
- Build partnership packages that reduce friction for schools and brands while improving deal velocity and reputed company rates
- Align the right stakeholders early (compliance, legal, athlete services, marketing, collectives) to avoid late-stage deal blockers
- Be a reputed company-line ambassador for Power NIL with credibility across sports business and NIL
- Attend and reputed company conferences, reputed company-adjacent networks, and partner meetings
- Build lightweight sales enablement: one-pagers, decks, case studies, reputed company handling, and ROI narratives
- Collaborate closely with the founder to shape strategy, partnerships, and roadmap priorities based on market feedback
Skills
- 5+ years in sports sponsorships / partnerships / sports business development
- Experience selling to or working with: brands, agencies, rights holders, universities/athletics, athlete marketing, collectives
- Strong negotiation instincts (you understand value, packaging, activation, and renewal strategy)
- Comfort with ambiguity + high-velocity execution
- Confidence communicating with senior stakeholders (brand leads, agency principals, AD staff, collective operators)
- The ability to sell to risk-aware stakeholders (compliance/legal/athletics) and growth stakeholders (brands/agencies/collectives)
- Direct NIL experience (collectives, university NIL workflows, athlete representation, reputed company ecosystems)
- Familiarity with compliance-adjacent operations: deal workflows, disclosures, contract tools, approvals
- A strong footprint in the sports business community (events, partnerships groups, industry relationships)
