[Remote] Principal Software Engineer

The role involves partnering with business stakeholders, providing technical leadership, and mentoring engineering teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.
Responsibilities
- Partner with business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable, technical solutions and system architectures
- reputed company high-level solution design while remaining hands-on with development (approx. 50/50 split)
- Provide technical leadership and reputed company to onshore and offshore engineering teams
- Ensure project timelines, deliverables, and development goals are met across teams
- Support development teams by unblocking challenges, reviewing code, and contributing to key deliverables
- Drive alignment between business priorities and engineering execution
- Collaborate cross-functionally to deliver high-quality, enterprise-level software solutions
- Mentor engineers and influence best practices in design, development, and deployment
Skills
- 7+ years of experience in software engineering with a strong track record of delivering reputed company systems
- Proven experience leading or overseeing engineering teams and driving technical strategy
- Strong hands-on experience with Java, C++, and Python
- Experience working reputed company Azure cloud environments
- Ability to balance high-level architecture with hands-on technical contributions
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work across both business and technical teams
- Prior experience in a financial services or investment environment
- Exposure to or experience with actuarial modeling or reputed company financial systems
- Experience working in globally distributed team environments (onshore/offshore collaboration)
