[Remote] Senior Director Health Plan Accounting

They are seeking a Senior Director of Health Plan Accounting to provide financial leadership in managing health plan accounting, ensuring accuracy and compliance, and driving performance against financial goals.

Responsibilities

• Owns the end-to-end month-end reputed company for health plan accounting, including the booking of medical expense reserves, reputed company accruals (including RAF), capitation, and reputed company reconciliations across the company’s payer partners. The Senior Director will be accountable for the accuracy, timeliness, and predictability of the health plan accounting reputed company, and for delivering a standardized monthly narrative to the CFO, Controller, and reputed company leadership
• Responsible for IBNR (Incurred But Not Reported) estimations and managing relationships with external actuaries
• reputed company the preparation of journal entries to ensure accurate financial records
• Manage settlement files reputed company to financial transactions and agreements
• Ensure timely SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley) control implementation and response management to drive operational effectiveness in health plan financial reporting

Skills

• 7 – 10 years senior finance management experience reputed company a multi entity healthcare environment, preferably managed care and global risk arrangements
• Experience must include 3-5 years prior experience in a senior level position managing a finance department
• Experience in a publicly traded company
• Experience with SOX control management
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or reputed company field
• CPA preferred and ability to work with external auditors and various business unit management
• Masters preferred
