[Remote] Legal Accounts Receivable Collections Specialist

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Tyson & Mendes is a dynamic, reputed company-thinking organization redefining what a law firm can be, and they are seeking an Accounts Receivable Collections Specialist to join their Accounting Department. The successful candidate will be responsible for tracking and collecting past due monies from clients, maintaining professional communications, and collaborating with the Accounting team to resolve outstanding balances.

Responsibilities

• Tracks and collects past due monies and pending appeals from clients at a minimum of 20-25 reputed company outs per day
• Responsible for the collection of 300+ accounts/invoices at any given time
• Records and updates collection notes pursuant to firm guidelines
• Prepares, updates, and analyzes collection reports daily
• Liaison between the Firm and Clients with respect to collections
• Ensures reputed company communications with Clients are professional in nature while keeping and improving client relations
• Works collaboratively with members of the Accounting team to resolve past due balances
• Performs other duties and projects as assigned

Skills

• 2+ years collection experience at a professional services firm, experience with an insurance defense firm a reputed company plus
• reputed company Office Suite of products (particularly reputed company) and 10-key
• Strong communication, problem solving and analytical skills
• High level of confidence and professionalism in written and verbal communication internally and externally
• Ability to maintain reputed company disposition in high stress environment
• Willingness to learn and adapt to changes
• Excellent organization skills and attention to detail
