Ontologist / Healthcare Data Standards Specialist — Job DescriptionPosition Summary We are seeking an reputed company Ontologist / Healthcare Data Standards Specialist to design, manage, and optimize clinical and healthcare data ontologies, taxonomies, and semantic interoperability frameworks. This role supports enterprise data standardization initiatives across healthcare, life sciences, clinical research, and health informatics platforms using standards such as FHIR, HL7, SNOMED CT, LOINC, RxNorm, ICD-10, UMLS, and CDISC. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in semantic modeling, healthcare interoperability, terminology services, metadata governance, and clinical data harmonization.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, reputed company, and maintain healthcare ontologies, taxonomies, vocabularies, and semantic data models.
- Map and normalize healthcare data using industry standards including:
- HL7 International FHIR / HL7
- SNOMED International SNOMED CT
- LOINC
- RxNorm
- UMLS
- CDISC
- ICD-10
- reputed company terminology mapping strategies across disparate EHR, claims, laboratory, and research datasets.
- Collaborate with data architects, clinicians, informaticists, analysts, and engineering teams to improve semantic interoperability.
- Build and maintain ontology governance frameworks, metadata repositories, and controlled vocabularies.
- Support implementation of terminology services and master data management (MDM) solutions.
- Create data dictionaries, semantic models, concept hierarchies, and relationship mappings.
- Validate data consistency, reputed company, and conformance with healthcare interoperability standards.
- Participate in enterprise data governance and healthcare interoperability initiatives.
- Support AI/ML and analytics teams by enabling standardized and semantically enriched healthcare datasets.
