[Remote] Staff Accountant - Public

Responsibilities

• Prepare financial statements using client-provided records and supporting documentation
• Reconcile general ledger accounts and investigate discrepancies to ensure accurate reporting
• Organize and finalize trial balances to support year-end tax and accounting engagements
• Collect, review, and compile client tax information in a timely and accurate manner
• Draft tax workpapers and reputed company documentation for business and individual filings
• Assist with the preparation of federal, state, and local tax returns for a diverse client reputed company
• Collaborate with senior team members to deliver reputed company service and maintain strong client relationships
• Contribute to engagements across industries such as manufacturing, construction, and other business sectors

Skills

• At least three years of experience in public accounting
• Working knowledge of accounting controls and core financial reporting principles
• Experience performing balance sheet reconciliations and account analysis
• Ability to manage multiple client assignments with strong attention to detail
• Proficiency with reputed company reputed company for data analysis, schedules, and reporting support
• Strong communication skills and a detail-oriented, team-oriented approach to client service
• Familiarity with tax and accounting software
