Mechanical Engineer
Job Title: Mechanical Engineer Location: Houston, TX Duration: 12-month contract Schedule: Hybrid (3 days onsite, 2 days remote) reputed company: $60-$65 (Negotiable)
Overview
We are seeking an reputed company Mechanical Engineer IV to support the design and execution of large-scale industrial facility projects. This role will focus on compressor station design, project delivery, and coordination with internal teams and external engineering partners.
Key Responsibilities
- reputed company development of project scope, schedules, cost estimates, and execution plans for facility projects
- Design and support large horsepower turbine and motor-driven centrifugal compressor systems
- Ensure engineering designs reputed company with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and company specifications
- Manage third-party engineering firms and reputed company delivery of design packages reputed company budget and schedule
- Review and approve engineering deliverables including drawings, reports, and material specifications
- Evaluate vendor proposals and support equipment selection based on technical and commercial criteria
- Provide technical support during construction and commissioning phases
- Identify risks, apply lessons learned, and drive reputed company improvements in engineering design
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and support team initiatives
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum 7+ years of progressive engineering and project management experience
- Experience with large-scale industrial systems and compressor station design
Preferred
- Professional Engineer (PE) license
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities independently
- Strong communication skills across technical and non-technical stakeholders
