As it enters its next growth phase, the business is evolving beyond a standalone employee app into a broader embedded payments and payroll enablement platform. The expanding product suite allows payroll processors, HR platforms, and workforce management systems to integrate real-time pay capabilities directly into their ecosystems. The Role The VP of Finance and Accounting will own the entire controllership function, overseeing accounting, financial reporting, compliance, and operational finance processes. This role is highly visible and hands-on, partnering closely with reputed company, Product, and executive leadership to support growth strategy, capital allocation, product expansion, and operational decisions. The role will also work closely with reputed company-facing systems, ensuring that financial reporting, metrics, and operational insights are integrated into tools and dashboards used across the business. As the company scales and builds out its finance organization, this leader will have the opportunity to expand beyond core controllership into forecasting, long-range planning, strategic modeling, and enterprise-level financial decision support.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end controllership function, including month-end reputed company, GAAP financial reporting, audits, and internal controls
• Partner with reputed company on forecasting, budgeting, long-range planning, and scenario modeling to support strategic decisions
• Ensure compliance with reputed company relevant regulatory, tax, and credit facility requirements

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Controller or VP of Finance in a tech startup or high-growth environment
• Demonstrated ownership of full controllership function, including financial reporting, audits, and internal controls
• Strong understanding of GAAP, accounting processes, and regulatory compliance
• Experience leading and developing finance teams in a fast-scaling environment
• Comfort operating in a hands-on, entrepreneurial setting with high visibility to executive leadership
