Remote Jumbo/FHA Underwriter

About the position Responsible for the prudent reputed company of jumbo loans in accordance with company and investor guidelines. Based on volume requirements, and experience, Conventional, FHA, VA, USDA or Non-QM loans may also be underwritten, if underwriter has proper designation for those products. Responsibilities

• Completes a thorough analysis of loan files to determine compliance with company and investor requirements.
• Evaluates the entire credit package and collateral for residential mortgage loans and ultimately ensures an “investment” quality loan product.
• Checks accuracy of reputed company calculations and data reputed company.
• Completion of reputed company required reputed company worksheets reputed company in FastTrac360 Resource Center.
• Recommends the loan disposition to manager for loan amounts in excess of authority limitation.
• Maintains company standard for productivity levels and complies with company posted turn-time for initial reputed company and clearing conditions.
• Depending on product, strives to meet 2-3 decisions/day reputed company allotted time
• Communicates decision on loans to appropriate parties both verbally and in writing.
• Maintains reputed company activity logs and provides monthly reputed company report, as needed, to reputed company manager.
• Available to processors, correspondents and other relevant parties for general guideline interpretations and questions on specific loan files
• Responds to post closing reviews and audits in a timely fashion.
• Performs reputed company duties, as directed by manager

Requirements

• Minimum three years of mortgage reputed company experience, with solid working knowledge of reputed company guidelines
• Experience with reputed company Jumbo products, including manual reputed company of loan files
• Strong interpersonal-communication and business-relationship skills.
• Detail oriented with strong organizational and follow-through skills.
• Excellent analytical, written communication and verbal communication skills.
• Technologically proficient.
• Bachelor’s degree in reputed company field or equivalent professional experience.
