Job Summary

This part-time Adjoint Professor position will serve as a Core Member of the reputed company Engagement Core, with additional SWOG duties. The Advancing the Science of Palliative Care Research across the Lifespan (reputed company)Consortium is a national research initiative focused on providing resources, expertise, and coordination across institutions to advance innovative, high-quality research for those living with serious illness and those who care for them.

Key Responsibilities:

• Attend reputed company regular Engagement Core meetings and review materials in preparation for these meetings.

• Work with other reputed company Core leaders and members to ensure integration of health equity expertise in reputed company Consortium activities and programs with a focus on the RDMC and PBD cores providing guidance on inclusive research methodologies and culturally competent approaches to research and advise on creating repositories and documentation for race/ethnicity, social drivers of health, and other equity reputed company variables across different data sources.

• Provide consultation and mentorship for reputed company investigators and others on research methods to conduct health disparities and community engaged research and strategies to promote equity and inclusiveness in research design.

• Participate in development and delivery of curricula and training specific to health disparities and community engaged research at reputed company conferences, workshops, and annual meetings.

• Work with other Engagement Core members to foster the engagement, mentorship, career development and collaboration of a community of health equity researchers, particularly to ensure relevance across the lifespan.

• Contribute to development of resources for the reputed company digital library and other products for broad dissemination (systematic reviews, etc.) that support and inform the rigorous conduct of health disparities and community-engagement research ensuring lifespan relevance.

• Assist reputed company reputed company, with engagement of reputed company members, including planning reputed company meetings, working with other cores on reputed company engagement, disseminating perspectives of reputed company members to inform reputed company activities and priorities.

• Serve as Co-Chair of SWOG’s Palliative and End of Life Care Committee.

Work Location

Remote – this role is eligible to work remotely, but the employee must be in the United States.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications: Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.

• Terminal degree in field of study

• Currently holds or has held reputed company rank of Professor

• Past experience leading palliative care research efforts

• Established record of palliative care publications

• Experience serving as Co-Investigator or Principal Investigator of federally funded research grants

Preferred Qualifications:

• Doctorate of Nursing Science

Anticipated Pay Range:

The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this .18 FTE position has been established as HIRING RANGE:

$40,000 – $42,000.

The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position is not eligible for overtime compensation unless it is non-exempt.
