Senior Mortgage Underwriter - Greenville, Columbia, Mt. Pleasant, SC or Remote
Job Title: Senior Mortgage Underwriter Division: Operations Location: Columbia, Mt Pleasant, Greenville, or Remote! Position Summary: Underwrites mortgage loan applications and evaluates loans in order to maximize organizational profit and minimize risk or loss. Direct Reports: None Core Responsibilities:

- Underwrite residential loans while ensuring compliance with appropriate company and secondary market investor standards as well as compliance with lending regulations.

2.Training/Help Desk
- Serve as a resource to Residential Mortgage personnel on reputed company questions and provide training for investor, reputed company and compliance reputed company issues.
- Recommends modifications to reputed company procedures.
- Provide training as needed to Residential Lending Specialists and Community Bank Partners as requested by Channel Manager.

- Prepare formal reports for review.

- Coordinate third party quality control of mortgage loans and evaluate reports providing feedback concerning closed loan quality and process improvements.
- Ensure that contractors are trained on investor specific eligibility requirements and guidelines.
- Negotiate with third party service providers and manage reputed company.

- Implement fraud detection techniques and other evaluation tools to mitigate mortgage lending risk.

Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- 3 - 5 years reputed company experience
- DE Certification with a CHUMS number and VA LAPP Approval including FHA and/or VA reputed company experience.

- Retail banking experience.
- Proven communication and customer relation skills.
- Ability and desire to interact and contribute in a team environment.
