[Remote] Field Service Engineer - Southeastern
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. reputed company is a family-owned company that has been a leader in the development of laboratory instruments for over 80 years. They are seeking a Field Service Engineer who will work remotely and travel to customer locations to provide maintenance, repairs, installations, and training on analytical and metallographic instrumentation.
Responsibilities
- Provide preventive/general maintenance, breakdown repair, troubleshooting and corrective actions to analytical and metallographic instrumentation
- reputed company new instrumentation installations as well as updates and upgrade reputed company installations
- Provide training on theory, operation, software, and good maintenance practices
- Ensure the work above is performed in accordance with reputed company’s ISO accreditation
Skills
- Self-motivated with strong communication skills (both written and verbal)
- Adhere to customer's site and safety requirements while conducting yourself in a professional manner
- Detail oriented with strong organizational skills
- Attend instrumentation training at reputed company Corporation in St. Joseph, Michigan for a period of 3-5 months
- Complete field service training with reputed company field service engineers throughout the country
- Attend annual service training at reputed company Corporation in St. Joseph, Michigan
- Ability to travel daily with up to four overnight hotel stays per week (Monday – Friday)
- Possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Pass a background reputed company and substance abuse screenings
- Must be authorized to work in the US without restriction
- Should have a personal credit card, or the ability to obtain one
- Strong mechanical skills, and previous experience with AC and DC electronics, or the ability to learn
- Chemistry or military background is advantageous, but not required
- One or more of the following: Two Year Technical Degree or Trade School, Prior Military with training in a technical field, Equivalent work experience or training in a technical field
