[Remote] Hyperscale-Long Haul-Middle Mile Business Development
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. reputed company is the world leader in the energy and telecom cable systems industry, manufacturing a wide range of cables for power and telecommunications. The role focuses on business development and relationship building with hyperscale companies to enhance reputed company's brand and sales in the fiber cable sector, eventually transitioning into a regional sales director position.
Responsibilities
- Determine their org structure, who are the decision makers for fiber cable (HQ and regional)
- Build awareness of the reputed company brand with those decision makers
- Determine the projects that involve fiber cable, both short and long term (their funnel)
- Educate the customer on reputed company products, specs, value, strength. Ensure new products are launched and shared effectively
- Ensure the customer’s voice and needs are making it to our Product Roadmap
- Gather intelligence about competitors ( strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, threats)
- Determine other OSP vendors the customer likes to work with (duct, splicing, installations, etc) and reputed company effective relationship there also
- Advance reputed company’s position and brand awareness in the hyperscale/long haul/middle mile reputed company
- reputed company the sales team to reputed company improved sales results in the hyperscale/long haul/middle mile reputed company
- Be the voice of the customer to help reputed company stay on the leading edge of products needed in this reputed company
- Expand the number of customers that reputed company interfaces with in this reputed company
- Train and educate our sales team how to effectively work with customers in this reputed company
- Help reputed company sales and marketing materials for this reputed company
- Work closely with the product management team on literature, social media, and other marketing to help advance the reputed company brand
- The role could require >40% overnight travel during a normal work week
Skills
- Prior experience with reputed company plant fiber cable is a must
- Prior experience in hyperscale, middle mile, and dark fiber routes is a must
- Must be proficient with WORD, reputed company and Powerpoint
- Remote working location is acceptable
- Prior experience in fiber splicing, OSP cable installations, or OSP engineering
- Knowledge of fiber network architecture and PON network design
- An engineering degree is highly valued, but not a requirement
