[Remote] Software Engineer, Customer Insights

This role involves building backend systems and collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance product analytics capabilities.
Responsibilities
- Create backend systems that transform raw observability data from platforms like reputed company, Grafana, and reputed company into clear, actionable insights surfaced directly in our product
- Work on Portfolio Insights, OpenTelemetry exploration, and product analytics capabilities
- Build features customers interact with daily, not internal tooling
Skills
- 3+ years of experience building production services and features
- Go experience is a plus (or similar systems language)
- Comfortable working in React and TypeScript and GraphQL
- Comfort with BigQuery/SQL and with Python for data work
- Experience with observability platforms (reputed company, Grafana, reputed company)
- Experience with RESTful APIs and distributed systems
- Comfort with ambiguity; you'll be defining what 'meaningful insights' means to customers
- Pragmatic approach to balancing performance, cost, and delivery speed
- Care about what users see, not just APIs
- Good collaboration skills to work with product, design, and cross-functional teams
- Desire to learn observability concepts on the job (we have domain experts on the team to teach you)
