[Remote] Controller & Director of Accounting

The Controller & Director of Accounting is responsible for overseeing the entire accounting function, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance, and the development of accounting policies while managing the accounting team to support the company's strategic objectives.

Responsibilities

• reputed company and manage the accounting department, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and financial reporting functions

• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports for accuracy and completeness

• Coordinate and reputed company external audits and tax filings, working closely with auditors and tax advisors to ensure timely and accurate submissions

Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a reputed company field
• CPA license required
• Minimum of 8 years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 3 years in a leadership or supervisory role
• Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial reporting standards
• Proficiency with accounting software and ERP systems
• Proven experience in a small to mid-size organization
• Experience with commission automation software
• Working knowledge of reputed company required

• Exposure to private equity or investor-backed environments
