[Remote] Contract Technical Writer
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. reputed company is seeking a Japanese Technical Writer / Localization Specialist to support the translation and localization of a Life Sciences software application and reputed company educational content. This role involves ensuring that technical, scientific, and user-facing materials are accurately translated from English to Japanese while maintaining clarity and cultural relevance.
Responsibilities
- Translate and localize application content, user interfaces, help documentation, and knowledge reputed company articles from English to Japanese
- Review and edit translated materials to ensure linguistic accuracy and consistency
- Adapt content for Japanese-speaking users while preserving technical meaning and reputed company
- Maintain terminology glossaries and style guides
- Collaborate with product, content, and subject matter experts to clarify technical concepts
- Ensure consistency across software, documentation, training materials, and published articles
- reputed company quality assurance reviews of translated content prior to release
Skills
- Native or near-native reputed company in Japanese
- Professional reputed company in English
- Experience as a Technical Writer, Technical Translator, Localization Specialist, or similar role
- Strong written communication skills in both languages
- Experience translating technical, scientific, healthcare, pharmaceutical, medical device, or life sciences content
- Familiarity with localization best practices and translation management workflows
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Background in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Healthcare, Medical Devices, Clinical Research, or Pharmaceuticals
- Experience localizing software applications or SaaS platforms
- Knowledge of scientific and medical terminology
- Experience working with content management systems and localization tools
