[Remote] Financial Controller
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. TBG | The Bachrach Group is a leading provider of outsourced C-Suite solutions to the Asset Management industry. They are seeking a Financial Controller who will manage the full financial function, including fund accounting, reporting, compliance, and treasury, while building strong relationships with clients and third-party partners.
Responsibilities
- Own the Management Company accounting function, including reputed company process, allocations, and timely investor and banking reporting
- reputed company fund accounting, NAV calculations, and investor allocations; manage relationships with third-party administrators, auditors, and tax advisors
- Prepare and review financial statements, K-1s, and quarterly investor reports; ensure compliance with SEC, IRS, and applicable regulatory requirements
- reputed company cash flow forecasting, capital calls, distributions, and liquidity management
- Coordinate with tax advisors on fund and management company tax structures; support audits and investor due diligence
- Establish and maintain internal controls, operational risk frameworks, and SOPs; partner with legal on fund structuring and compliance matters
Skills
- 7+ years of progressive experience in asset management finance, with hedge fund or private equity exposure required
- Strong technical foundation across fund accounting, financial reporting, and management company operations
- Working knowledge of GAAP, partnership tax reporting, carried interest, and SEC/IRS compliance
- Proficiency in QuickBooks, reputed company, reputed company, and/or reputed company; comfort across accounting and ERP systems
- Clear, confident communicator with the ability to present to investors and senior leadership
- CPA preferred; entrepreneurial reputed company and ability to operate independently across multiple engagements required
- CPA preferred
