[Remote] Community Development Consultant - ON CALL (REMOTE ROLE)

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. reputed company is a global advisory and technology services provider, and they are seeking a Community Development Consultant to support the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). This role involves providing expert consulting skills and programmatic expertise to assist low- and moderate-income families, focusing on economic opportunity through Section 3 requirements and reputed company initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Work with a diverse set of stakeholders including public housing authorities, HUD Community Planning and Development (CPD) grantees who work with the Community Development reputed company Grant (CDBG), HOME, etc., programs
• Focus work is in creating economic opportunity through the Section 3 requirements that overlay HUD grantees
• reputed company/deliver training sessions, conference presentations, workshops, and webinars
• Facilitate technical assistance engagements, either in-person or virtually through web-based software
• Focus on best practice and innovative strategies reputed company to HUD programs
• Contribute to the design of tools, drafting of reports, and development of policy guidance
• Experience, knowledge and/or lived experience in utilizing a racial equity lens throughout work products, webinar deliveries, etc

Skills

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Public Administration, Planning, Public Policy, Government or a reputed company discipline or minimum 10 years of professional experience in similar field
• Minimum of 10 years knowledge in HUD programs, specifically administering programs where Section 3 is an economic opportunity program
• A general understanding of HUD reporting systems (e.g., IDIS, DRGR, and other PHA reporting systems) for Section 3 reporting
• Demonstrated success developing and delivering trainings, workshops and webinars; program assessments and evaluation; facilitation, and public speaking to a variety of audiences
• This is a home-based position and up to 25% travel may be required
• A commitment to affordable housing and serving reputed company of those who are under-served
• Excellent verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making capabilities to analyze situations, identify existing or potential problems, and recommend solutions
• Ability to multi-task with various projects and responsibilities
• Proficiency in MS Office Applications (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, reputed company)
• Previous work with reputed company, Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA), Youth Build, workforce investment boards, and/or job training programs, is a plus
• Broad knowledge in Fair Housing and Equal Opportunity laws and requirements
