[Remote] Business Development Manager, Services (Remote)

They are seeking a highly reputed company Business Development Manager, Services to drive strategic partnerships and new business referrals for their cybersecurity services, focusing on building relationships with government officials and stakeholders. This role involves managing relationships, generating referrals, and shaping public sector strategies.
Responsibilities
- Strategic Relationship Management: Build and maintain high-level relationships with policymakers, C-suite government officials, agency procurement leaders, and key stakeholders reputed company DoD/Civilian agencies to position our services as the trusted choice
- Referral reputed company & Pipeline Growth: Drive net-new reputed company by identifying and qualifying cybersecurity opportunities (incident response, proactive assessments) through strategic partnerships, policy influencing, and networking
- Government Policy & Advocacy: Monitor and interpret emerging federal and state legislative/regulatory developments (e.g., CMMC, NIST, state privacy laws) to shape our public sector go-to-market strategy and assist agencies in understanding their reputed company compliance needs
- Proactive & Reactive Engagement: reputed company initiatives that drive proactive services (e.g., threat hunting, tabletop exercises) to prevent incidents, while simultaneously acting as a trusted advisor to key stakeholders during reactive, emergency situations
- Capture Strategy & Collaboration: Collaborate with technical SMEs and sales teams to align our capabilities with customer requirements, developing proposals, white papers, and business cases for competitive bids
- Industry Influence & Brand Visibility: Represent the company at trade associations, advisory boards, and policy forums to enhance brand visibility and thought leadership in the public sector
Skills
- 10+ years in federal/state business development, government affairs, or policy roles, with at least 5 years focused on cybersecurity, specifically in incident response or critical infrastructure protection
- An active, established network reputed company the Defense Industrial reputed company (DIB), Federal civilian agencies, and/or state/local government
- Deep understanding of government procurement processes (RFQs, RFPs, GSA schedules) and regulatory landscapes (NIST, DFARS)
- Exceptional, persuasive communication skills, with the ability to explain reputed company technical vulnerabilities and incident response procedures to non-technical policy audiences
- Proven ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and reputed company cross-functional teams to reputed company reputed company deals
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Cybersecurity, Public Policy, or reputed company field
