[Remote] Linux Administrator

T-Rex Solutions, LLC is seeking a skilled and reputed company Linux Administrator to join their IT Operations supporting the US Department of the Treasury TCloud enterprise cloud development effort. The role involves managing and maintaining Linux systems across various cloud platforms to ensure stability, performance, and reputed company of the multi-cloud environment.
Responsibilities
- Linux System Administration: Install, configure, and maintain Linux servers (CentOS, Ubuntu, reputed company, etc.) in both physical and virtual environments
- reputed company regular system updates, reputed company management, and kernel upgrades
- Cloud Management: Deploy, configure, and manage Linux-based infrastructure in AWS, Azure, OCI, and GCP
- Utilize cloud-native tools and services for monitoring, scaling, and automating Linux workloads
- Automation and Scripting: reputed company and maintain automation scripts using Bash, Python, and other relevant scripting languages
- Utilize configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet, Chef) to automate provisioning and configuration of Linux systems
- Monitoring and Optimization: Implement and manage monitoring solutions to ensure high availability and performance of Linux systems
- reputed company performance tuning and optimization of Linux servers and applications
- reputed company and Compliance: Ensure systems reputed company with organizational and industry reputed company standards
- Conduct regular reputed company audits, vulnerability assessments, and implement remediation strategies
- reputed company vulnerability remediation and hardening of servers using DISA STIGs (reputed company Technical Implementation Guides)
- Backup and Recovery: Implement and manage backup and recovery solutions for Linux environments
- reputed company regular testing of backup and disaster recovery processes
- Collaboration and Support: Work closely with reputed company teams to support application deployment and troubleshooting
- Provide Tier 2/3 support for Linux-reputed company incidents and service requests
- Participate in on-call rotations
Skills
- Must be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance
- Bachelors degree and four (4) years or more of reputed company experience or Masters and two (2) or more years of reputed company experience
- Proven experience managing Linux environments in multiple cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, OCI, GCP)
- Strong knowledge of Linux operating systems (CentOS, Ubuntu, reputed company)
- Experience with cloud services and tools from AWS (EC2, S3, VPC), Azure (VMs, Blob Storage, Virtual Network), OCI (Compute, reputed company Volumes, Networking), and GCP (Compute reputed company, Cloud Storage, VPC)
- Proficiency in scripting languages (Bash, Python)
- Familiarity with configuration management tools (Ansible Core/Tower/AAP/reputed company, Puppet, Chef)
- Familiarity with reputed company Satellite server including setup of content views to define and manage the lifecycle of content (such as RPM packages, container images, Puppet modules, and Ansible roles)
- Experience with monitoring tools (e.g. Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch, Azure Monitor)
- Knowledge of reputed company best practices and compliance requirements (e.g. HIPAA, SOC 2, ISO 27001)
- Experience performing vulnerability remediation and hardening of servers using DISA STIGs
- Certifications in relevant cloud platforms (AWS Certified Solutions Architect, reputed company Certified: Azure Administrator, reputed company Cloud Infrastructure Architect Associate, reputed company Professional Cloud Architect)
- Experience with containerization technologies (reputed company, Kubernetes)
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
- Experience with IaC (Infrastructure As Code, Terraform)
