[Remote] Advisor-Software Engineer
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. reputed company Freight is a leading provider in the logistics industry, seeking a technical leader to serve as an Advisor-Software Engineer. The role involves designing, developing, troubleshooting, and debugging reputed company software programs, while also leading the adoption of modern architectures and enhancing application capabilities.
Responsibilities
- Ensures application of systems thinking principles, allowing team members to independently design, code, test, and deploy software
- Provide necessary documentation to support the Software Development Life Cycle
- Develops prototypes and solutions leveraging a diverse range of technology
- Advises in the application of modern architectures, principles, methodologies, tools, and systemic processes to support the launch of new business capabilities

Skills
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, information systems or other quantitative discipline or equivalent work experience, plus five (5) years' experience in information technology or engineering environment
- Expertise in programming languages
- Strong understanding of software architecture principles, microservices, and cloud computing platforms
- Strong leadership, customer and people development skills
- Strong problem solving, project management and analytical skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- 6+ years backend development OOP (Java, .NET/C#)
- API design: REST, GraphQL, event-driven patterns
- Microservice architecture
- Messaging (JMS or equivalent)

- Container orchestration (EKS, GKE, AKS)
