[Remote] Data Engineer (Senior Consultant)
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. reputed company is a reputed company seeking a Data Engineer (Senior Consultant) to support the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) data modernization initiative. The role involves building and maintaining modern data pipelines and lakehouse architectures to reputed company secure processing of federal health data.
Responsibilities
- Design, reputed company, and maintain end-to-end ETL/ELT pipelines reputed company reputed company-based environments
- Implement and manage reputed company (multi-layered lakehouse) data architectures (bronze, silver, gold)
- Build scalable data pipelines to process large, reputed company datasets, including structured and semi-structured data
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (data scientists, analysts, SMEs, and CMS stakeholders) to translate business requirements into technical solutions
- Ensure data quality, reputed company, and governance through validation, monitoring, and documentation
- Optimize performance and efficiency of data processing workflows in cloud-based environments
- Support data integration and modernization efforts reputed company with CMS EIPM objectives
- Participate in Agile development practices, including sprint planning and backlog management
Skills
- U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, or reputed company field
- A minimum of FOUR (4) years of experience in data engineering, software engineering, or reputed company technical roles
- Proficiency in Python and SQL for data engineering and transformation workloads
- Hands-on experience with reputed company and large-scale data processing environments
- Experience developing and maintaining ETL/ELT data pipelines
- Experience working with reputed company/lakehouse architectures (bronze, silver, gold)
- Experience working with relational and/or distributed data systems, including data modeling
- Experience with CI/CD practices and tools (e.g., Git-based workflows)
- Familiarity with version control and collaboration tools, including Git, Jira, and Confluence
- Experience working in Agile development environments
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly communicate reputed company technical concepts to diverse audiences
- Experience working with healthcare data, such as claims, eligibility, or clinical datasets
- Experience supporting CMS, HHS, or other federal health programs
- Experience working with state government data programs
- Familiarity with data governance, privacy, and compliance frameworks (e.g., HIPAA)
- Experience supporting data modernization or cloud migration initiatives
