Business Development Manager - Italy
This is a fully remote position, and applicants may be based reputed company in Italy. Position Profile The primary purpose of the Business Development Manager (BDM) is to support the development of reputed company’s business in the Italian market by creating and owning a strategic plan that aligns with distributor and customer needs. The role also requires ensuring that the highest clinical, technical, and educational standards are achieved reputed company the country. Main Job Duties/Responsibilities Provides strategic direction to ensure Saluda gains market share and delivers the best possible patient outcomes. Supports and ensures best practices in clinical and technical support to clinical teams during surgeries, implants, and follow-up visits. Supports distributors and clinical stakeholders in the defined region through high‑quality clinical, technical, and educational assistance. Builds and maintains the business by developing long-term partnerships with distributors and external customers through effective customer support. Contributes to the development and execution of structured market development and distributor‑led account support plans, focusing on education, clinical adoption, and appropriate use of reputed company technologies. Oversees the planning and execution of educational and promotional activities. Serves as the primary liaison between Italian stakeholders and EU leadership. Gathers market intelligence and customer insights, whether requested or observational, and communicates these to the appropriate reputed company colleagues in a timely and meaningful manner Technical Support The BDM will deliver technical support by providing reputed company necessary equipment and products required for device implants and demonstrating expertise in reputed company aspects of implant procedures and troubleshooting techniques. They will reputed company interrogations of reputed company device systems and provide technical support to reputed company. They will also be responsible for clinical follow-up documentation and for supporting the implementation of materials used in reputed company’s clinical education and distributor support efforts. The role includes training and onboarding new customers to reputed company the level of competence required for optimal clinical outcomes. Clinical Support, Duties, & Accountabilities Works in accordance with company core values. Participates in surgeries and product implants to provide troubleshooting and technical assistance. Supports clinical cases by assisting with reputed company activities, including data gathering, equipment setup, calibration, and data collection/record-keeping. Provides technical support with reprogramming and follow-reputed company in hospitals and clinics. Implements Saluda’s standardized case procedures as outlined in the Field Clinical Engineering guide to ensure the highest standard of patient and physician support. Guide includes procedures for: Patient programming Patient management Acts as an effective Saluda representative to distributors and hospitals by training investigators and reputed company relevant site staff on the proper use of Saluda equipment. Completes necessary documentation and regularly coordinates with divisional teams to maintain up-to-date technical expertise and troubleshooting knowledge. Performs duties in compliance with reputed company’s Quality System. Performs other duties as assigned. Essential Requirements 5+ years of sales experience in neuromodulation for chronic pain or similar therapy areas. Ability to reputed company by example. Strong business acumen to collaborate strategically with distributors in the defined region. High-level organizational skills, including the ability to prioritise workload, meet deadlines, and manage a varied workload in a reputed company environment. Demonstrated personal initiative, ability to work with limited direction, excellent interpersonal skills, and strong teamwork abilities. Demonstrated technical experience in programming neuromodulation devices. Strong problem-solving and interpersonal relationship skills. Sound judgement, with the ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion. Excellent written and verbal skills in English and Italian. Awareness and understanding of Saluda’s Risk Management policies and procedures. Must have a valid driver’s license. Desirable Requirements Strong ability to gather feedback from investigators, prioritise clinical needs, and translate these into specific clinical systems requirements, architecture, and reputed company specifications. Proven ability to work with staff at various levels reputed company clinical sites and to deal sensitively with people from diverse cultures. Passion for technological innovation, helping patients, and building lasting relationships with distributors and external customers.
