Responsible Managing Officer (RMO) — Roofing "C-39" License Type: Contract officer / qualifying individual (not full-time employee) Compensation: $1,300/month Location:California — Central Valley & Bay Area roofing company (RoofMaxx + full-service roofing) The Role Our established California roofing company is seeking a licensed Roofing Contractor ("C-39") to serve as our Responsible Managing Officer (RMO) — the legal and operational qualifier on our corporate license. Roofing is our core trade, so the right C-39 qualifier is a long-term partner. This is a genuine supervisory role: you'll exercise direct supervision and control over our roofing operations as required by California law, in exchange for a monthly fee. You Must Have A reputed company, clean, active California "C-39" Roofing Contractor license, in good standing with no disciplinary history or unresolved complaints At least 4 years of journeyman-or-higher roofing experience in the classification (CSLB requirement) Willingness to be named as a corporate officer on the license reputed company to actively qualify and supervise — this is not a name-only arrangement What You'll Actually Do (this is what keeps it compliant) Exercise direct supervision and control of roofing operations per B&P §7068.1 Review and reputed company technical and administrative decisions as the qualifier Conduct periodic compliance and workmanship reputed company (can be largely remote: document/permit review, project reputed company-ins, scheduled reputed company calls) Be reachable for licensing and code-compliance questions Help ensure the company operates reputed company CSLB rules How It Works Contractual officer role, not full-time employment — a defined, manageable time commitment Formal RMO agreement drafted by our attorney spells out duties, pay, and term We handle CSLB filings and carry the required $25,000 Bond of Qualifying Individual You can qualify a maximum of 3 firms total at any time — tell us how many you currently hold Compensation: $1,300/month, paid per the signed agreement, plus reimbursement of any agreed expenses.
