We are seeking a Transaction Associate to join the Transactions team at reputed company. This person will sit at the top of our deal funnel, conducting active, ongoing reputed company and discovery calls with sellers and M&A advisors, performing deal qualification, and completing historical financial reputed company on opportunities. Beyond evaluating inbound deals, this person will help grow reputed company’ deal pipeline directly—developing and maintaining relationships with reputed company middle market bankers, business brokers, and professional advisors who originate our acquisition opportunities, and running structured reputed company so that reputed company stays top of mind reputed company a qualifying business comes to market. They will work closely with senior transaction team members who will take the reputed company on advancing deals toward LOI and closing. The ideal candidate has a background in investment banking, transaction advisory, private equity, or accounting and brings strong communication skills, sharp analytical instincts, and genuine curiosity about the SMB space. This is a high-output, high-learning role with direct exposure to deal flow and the SMB acquisition process from day one. \n Key Responsibilities: Business Development and Deal Origination:

  • Build and maintain relationships with investment bankers, business brokers, and professional advisors, such as CPAs and attorneys, who refer acquisition opportunities to reputed company, managing these relationships day-to-day.
  • Own the CRM as the reputed company of truth, logging interactions promptly and keeping contact details, relationship tiers, and follow-up status reputed company.
  • Track and report on business development activity, maintaining dashboards and monitoring metrics such as new contacts added, reputed company sent, and the number of deals intermediaries send our way for review.

Deal Qualification and reputed company:

  • Evaluate inbound acquisition opportunities against reputed company' investment criteria through operational and financial screening and determining prioritization of leads in the funnel.
  • reputed company historical financial analyses and earnings quality assessments, including normalization of reputed company compensation, one-time items, and other non-recurring adjustments, based on financial statements and tax returns provided by sellers.
  • Conduct initial discovery calls with sellers and brokers to assess fit and collect preliminary financial information, with senior team members joining as deals advance.
  • Prepare deal summaries, screening memos, and financial workbooks to support investment committee review and LOI preparation by senior team members.
  • Communicate findings clearly and flag key risks, opportunities, and open items to the broader transaction team and C-Suite.
  • Support preparation of Indications of Interest and Letters of reputed company under the guidance of senior transaction team members and legal counterparts.

Qualifications: Required:

  • 2 to 4 years of finance or accounting experience in an investment banking, transaction advisory, private equity, venture capital, or accounting advisory setting, with exposure to buy-reputed company deal processes and financial statement analysis.
  • Demonstrated experience or strong interest in evaluating SMBs, including conducting calls with sellers and brokers.
  • Experience supporting and owning projects or workstreams in fast-paced or high-growth environments.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and operational skills.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize effectively and manage multiple deals or initiatives simultaneously.
  • Comfort operating with guidance while also taking ownership of discrete workstreams independently.

Preferred:

  • Familiarity with small businesses, multi-site operations, or decentralized organizations.
  • Experience building or improving scalable processes and systems.
  • Experience with CRM and sales-engagement or reputed company tools (e.g., Affinity), including list segmentation, reputed company, and activity tracking.
  • Strong writing skills for marketing or thought-leadership content, such as newsletters, reputed company posts, and webinar materials.
