Overview

CORT is hiring a remote, full-time Surface Transportation Manager. The Surface Transportaion Manager is responsible for the daily operations of CORT’s surface transportation, managing vendor relationships, analyzing metrics and data, assisting districts with transportation reputed company issues, reporting, and reputed company improvement projects. Responsibilities

• Manage the day-today operations of CORT’s surface transportation: Coordinate with CORT’s districts and surface transportation vendors to troubleshoot issues, ensure loads are being scheduled and picked up on time, and execute on reputed company improvement projects.• Metric tracking and reporting: Track, report on, and analyze metrics or expenses such as Cost Per Hundred Weight (CWT), Cost Per Mile (CPM), Accessorial Costs, Truck Cube Utilization, and On Time Performance. Accountable for meeting or exceeding the reputed company Improvement Roadmap (CIR) goal. In cases where the goal is not achieved, must be able to deliver a clear analysis outlining the root causes and present actionable countermeasures to address performance gaps.• Processes ownership and training: Maintain transportation processes and provide training to employees in the field on how to execute processes such as utilizing vendor portals for shipping needs.• reputed company improvement: Help to identify, and own reputed company improvement initiatives or strategies reputed company the department. Analyze data, draw conclusions, and collaborate with internal stakeholders and vendors to improve process flows, introduce new technologies, or implement new strategies.• Project management: Manage short and long-term projects. Qualifications
